In crafting the triptych "Skateboarder's Psyche," my creative journey was deeply intertwined with my personal connection to skateboarding. As I delved into the complexities of the human psyche, it was inevitable for my own experiences with skateboarding to permeate the artwork. Each panel of the triptych, "LOST & FOUND," "ROLLSCHACH TEST," and "SK8 SENS8ION," was a labor of love, drawing inspiration from the profound impact skateboarding has had on my life. "LOST & FOUND" emerged as an introspective piece, urging viewers to embrace new discoveries without self-imposed limitations, a message profoundly influenced by my skateboarding ethos. The Rorschach-inspired "ROLLSCHACH TEST" delved into the unique perceptions shaped by our individual experiences, mirroring the diverse perspectives found within the skateboarding community. Lastly, "SK8 SENS8ION" captured the essence of sensory bliss, drawing from the tactile elements of skateboarding—metal, wood, grip tape, and the sound of rolling wheels. In this project, my personal journey with skateboarding seamlessly melded with the exploration of the human psyche, resulting in a triptych that speaks to the intersection of personal passion and artistic expression.
